[rules]
In order to make the HUB a success and to avoid destroying the $200,000 venue, there must obviously be some rules and conditions to your attendance and participation in HUB events. Take a good read and be sure that you understand and agree to anything enclosed herein - "I did not understand" or "I did not see the implications" or whatever are not acceptable excuses. If you don't understand - ASK. If you don't agree - DON'T ATTEND. It really is that simple.

The HUB is run as a club and as such, there is no financial incentive for the organisers to run these events. We do it because we want to. We do it to aid the community that we are proud to be a part of, and all sorts of other altruistic reasons. We don't work for you. We are facilitating your enjoyment - keep this in perspective. Any lack of respect will be met with a number 12 boot in the seat of your pants, quickly followed by your computer equipment at head height. Fair enough? ;)

Essentially, this is not McDonald's - we will not tolerate any idiots.

Right! On to the main event...

  • The HUB organisers reserve the right to refuse attendance without explanation
  • Behaviour while on site must be responsible and consideration towards others must be expressed at all times
  • The entire risk as to the results, usefulness and performance of the event is assumed by the attendee
  • The HUB disclaims all warranties, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, correspondence to description, title and non-infringement.
  • The HUB shall not be liable for any indirect, consequential or special loss, damage or cost including loss of business or profits as a result of attending (or attempting to attend) an event.
  • If you sign up for a monitor and then turn up with your own monitor on the day, you will still be required to pay the hire fee for the monitor you signed up for.
  • You agree that once you have registered for an event, you are responsible for ensuring that you attend that event or otherwise alert the organisers as to your inability to attend, within the required parameters.
  • Any damage incurred by you to ANYTHING, including (but not limited to) the venue, lanplace equipment, other attendee's equipment etc is YOUR RESPONSIBILITY and as such, YOU are required to pay any costs in repairing or replacing the damaged item(s).
  • Piracy is STRICTLY forbidden. Trade in any illegal material (including, but not limited to: "Warez", MP3 files, pirated / copied software, feature films etc) will not be tolerated. Don't do it.
  • These terms and conditions are subject to change at any time - check before you register, every single time. We are NOT required to notify you of any changes to these (or any other) conditions.
  • These conditions are in addition to any conditions as posted on the lanplace website and do not exclude or replace any of those conditions.
  • The organisers (known as Phantom, Swifty and Spoon1) are in charge. You will do as they ask. Likewise, the man known as GoosE_ is also in a position to enforce any rules as he sees fit - this is his venue, we are simply attending.

Above all, be considerate and have a good time! :D!
